14 days Morocco desert tour from Casablanca

Day 1: Casablanca – Rabat.
In the morning, we will depart for our 14 days Casablanca Morocco tour on the way to Rabat “The Capital of Morocco”. Once we arrive, we will visit the Hassan Tower. Afterward, we will visit the Oudaya Kasbah. At 12:00, we will go for our lunch before then drive to our hotel for overnight and dinner.

Day 2: Rabat – Meknes – Volubilis – Fes
After breakfast in your riad, We will start traveling to Fes via Meknes with a stop for a short time at Meknes city, another significant imperial city of Morocco. It is known as the Ismaili capital of Morocco. We will also visit the famous gate Bab Mansour, the Sahrij Souani Bassin, and Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. After lunch, your journey continues to Volubilis, the Roman ruins, dating to 25BC where some of the original mosaics are still in very good shape, explore the site and continue to Fes via the foothills of the Rif Mountains. Arrive at Fez in the afternoon. Check-in at our riad at the heart of the Medina, before dinner and night.

Day 3: Fes “Guided journey”
After breakfast, We will be taken on an exploring guided tour in Fes which is the oldest city in Morocco, walking in its alleys and small streets. Our visit starts by visiting the Royal Palace gate, the Jewish headquarter, the first Mellah in Morocco, was built during the 16th century. We will ensure that you visit all sites with cultural and historical interest including the famous Al Qaraouine University, the oldest in the region, the Tanneries, the Attarine museum, and Mulay Idriss mausoleum. After lunch, you will visit the tiles cooperative and then experience a wonderful panoramic view over the whole Medina of Fes. In the afternoon, we will visit the new city “La Ville nouvelle” for a drink before we return back to our riad.

Day 4: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt
After breakfast in our riad, we will leave Fes by traveling to Ifrane, a beautiful mountain village, known as “the Switzerland of Morocco”, then continue to Midelt. During this journey, you’ll experience glimpses of the Middle Atlas mountains. On the way, We will stop at Azrou Cedar forest, the largest forest in Morocco. There we will stop for a while to see the Monkeys. Afterward, our journey continues to Midelt along the magnificent hills and mountains of Anti Atlas. There we will stop overnight with dinner included.

Day 5: Midelt – Errachidia – Ziz Valley – Merzouga.
After breakfast in our hotel, We will travel to Merzouga via Errachidia and Erfoud. We will be traveling through the fascinating Tiz-N-talghamt pass and Ziz Gorges, which are in views of the High Atlas plateau, you’ll notice how the scenery changes to reveal hints of the desert as you approach the city of Errachidia, here you will have lunch and enjoy the Berber hospitality. Afterward, you will travel along the luxuriant Ziz Valley, stopping for the panoramic park at the valley to take some photos of this fabulous green valley. We will arrive in Merzouga in the afternoon. There, We will be welcomed with a glass of mint tea before we check-in to our rooms. Dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Merzouga ( Desert day trip).
After breakfast, We will be taken on a desert day tour around the sand dunes. We will visit the Nomads in their tents and small houses built with mud and rocks. Afterward, We will visit the mines of Miffis. These mines are rich in eyeliner and fossils. From there we will continue our way to Gnaoua house of music. There, we will meet these black guys dressed in white playing their soul music and dancing around before we go for lunch in this Berber restaurant to have a Berber pizza. After lunch, we will return to our hotel where will have a shower and get ready for our sunset camel trek. Dinner and night in Berber camp under bright stars.

Day 7: Merzouga – Todra gorges – Dades Gorges.
We will wake up before dawn according to your choice. Then, we will walk to the top of these lowest sand dunes to welcome a new day of our adventure with a sunrise view, before returning to the camp restaurant for breakfast.
After breakfast, We will go back by camels or 4×4 to the hotel. There, we will get ready for another day trip to Dades canyons. We will start our journey by driving to Rissani city “An economic city for Nomads caravans a long time ago”.
Afterward, We will the road to Todra gorges, where we will get off for a walk in between the canyons listening to waterfalls and birds echo sounds in the gorges.
We will finish our day trip to Dades canyons, by crossing Dades valley with its green fields of Fig and olive trees. Along with this valley, we will also visit these natural rocks names ‘Monkey toes’ because of their form. Dinner and overnight in a hotel.

Day 8: Dades Gorges – Rose valley – Skoura – Ouarzazate
After breakfast, We start our journey by visit Dades canyons before crossing back to Dades valley. On the way to Ouarzazate, we will join other valley names like the Rose Valley. Along with this valley, We will enjoy the sight of rose plants with thousands of Kasbahs. At the end of this green valley, We will arrive at Kalaat M’gouna “The Rose Capital”. We will make a stop for a coffee according to your choice. Then we will continue to Ouarzazate “The Hollywood of Morocco”. There, We will visit Taourirt Kasbah includes a visit to the Cinema studio. Our English-speaking driver will pick us back to our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 9: Ouarzazate – Ait Benhaddou Kasbah – Taroudant.
After breakfast, we’ll drive to Taroudant via Taznakht and visiting Ait Benhaddou Kasbah. The former is the largest Kasbah in Morocco, was built by T’Hami El Glaoui, one of the last Berber chieftains during the beginning of the 20th Century, it used to be one of his stops during his long travel from the Sahara to Marrakech. It’s also one of the UNESCO heritage sites. After the Kasbah visit, We will then continue to Taliouine, the capital of Safran in Morocco, you have the option to visit the Safran co-operative. If your visit coincides with the Safran harvest, you will have the opportunity to meet the Berber people with their families harvesting the Safran in their fields. We will arrive at Taroudant in the afternoon, here you will see the ramparts and walk within the small alleys in the Medina. Taroudant is always referred to as ‘The little Marrakech’ because of its walls that look like the walls of Marrakech and have the influence of the Saadian dynasty, which built both walls of either city during the 16th century. Day 10: Taroudant – Agadir – Essaouira.
After breakfast, we will drive to Essaouira via Agadir. Our first stop will be at Agadir, a resort city that used to be a very big tourist destination for many years. After lunch and a small walk at the Promenade, we will continue to Essaouira. The coastal road offers beautiful scenery, an area famous for the Argan trees, here we will see herds of goats climbing the Argan trees looking for better food they can’t find on the ground. After several stops along the coast, we get to Essaouira in the afternoon. Dinner and night in a riad.

Day 11: Essaouira
After breakfast at your riad, we be will on a guided tour exploring the city. You’ll visit Skala Fortress, the port, the souks, and see Thuya wood carved by artisans; walk through the alleys of the medina and view hundreds of handicrafts. Essaouira is known for its strong winds most of the year that’s why it’s called “City of the wind” this attracts windsurfers from all over the world. Essaouira has many civilizations, including the Portuguese occupation, which affects much of its architecture, however, it remains a small village with much history. Because of its size and its characteristic blue doors and washed walls, it is also regarded as Morocco’s “Jewel of the Atlantics”. Our visit includes the Mellah, the Jewish headquarter, and the beach. There is an annual festival of (Gnawa music), where many musical groups come from different parts of Africa and the world. Usually, it starts in the second week of June, so if your trip coincides with this, you have the option to extend your stay for an extra day. Today you will have lunch in a Moroccan way, bought fish ( cooked to order). In the afternoon, you have free time to walk leisurely. Dinner and night.

Day 12: Essaouira – Marrakech.
After breakfast in your riad, depart to Marrakech. Since this land of Argan culture On our way, this will an opportunity visit to the women’s co-operative of Argan oil where they extract the oil that is famous for its culinary, cosmetic, and medical properties. After several stops to take photographs, you will continue your travel to Marrakech and check-in to your riad before we go to enjoy walking within the famous square of Jamaa Elfna, entertained with magicians, storytellers, musicians, and snake charmers. Returning for dinner and night in the riad or hotel.

Day 13: Marrakech.
After breakfast in the riad or hotel, you can start exploring Marrakech “The red city of Morocco”. We will ensure that you see the most important sites of historical and cultural interest, including the Majorelle Gardens, the Koutoubia Tower, the Saadian tombs, the Bahia Palace, and the Ben Youssef Koranic School. After lunch at a restaurant near the square, you will walk through the souks and view hundreds of handicrafts. In the afternoon, you will have some free time to walk by yourself and see Marrakech as you like. Dinner and night at your Riad or hotel.
