6 days Marrakech Fes desert tour

Day 01: Marrakech- High Atlas Mountains- Kasbah Ait Benhaddou- Dades Valley:
Pick you up from your accommodation to go on a nice 3 days trip to the Sahara desert. We leave Marrakech crossing High Atlas Mountains which offer us good Japanese time for pictures. The sceneries in mountains are so breathtaking. We continue our trip driving to UNESCO heritage, Kasbah Ait Benhaddou, which is an exotic and best fortified Kasbah. Many Hollywood movies were filmed here. After having our lunch in the Kasbah, we will walk around this historical castle to discover its sceneries, and then we continue our route towards Dades Gorges via Ouarzazate “African Hollywood” and Skoura oasis. Spend overnight in Dades Valley.

Day 02: Dades- Todra valley- Merzouga (night in the camp):
Get up in the morning, have breakfast, and get ready to leave the hotel directly to the Sahara Desert. Along the way, we will drive through numerous Berber villages. Our main stop will be in Todra Gorges which is a natural park with great big canyons. It is a destination for rock climbers and an outlet for locals to escape from the heat of towns. Later on, our journey continues to Merzouga where to switch off vehicles for camels to go on a discovery desert camel trek crossing the sand dunes to spend overnight in tents in the heart of wildness.

Day 03: Merzouga- Gnaoua habitation- night in hotel:
Imagine yourself in the early morning in an isolated area watching & contemplating the sun rises over golden dunes in the middle of the Sahara Desert! Surely, you will never want to miss that moment. For this, today you have to get up early to see the sunrise in the desert. Have breakfast in the open air and get ready to leave the camp by a jeep 4×4. Today will entirely be spent just in the Desert. We will visit nomads living in aridity and arid climate. We will have a cup of tea and observe the way they live. A visit to black Gnaoua Families is also worthy when in Morocco. A time of entertainment with their authentic folkloric instruments means a lot. Later on, we take you for a yummy typical meal for lunch “Berber pizza” before we check into the hotel.

Day 04: Merzouga – Ziz Valley- Midelt- Azrou to Fez:
After you have breakfast at the hotel, around 08 am we meet you at the lobby and leave for Fez. Our journey will take us through Erfoud, Errachidia, enjoying the natural landscape of Ziz Valley, and then we continue towards Rich & Medilt city (lunchtime). Additionally, we go further to the beautiful city of Ifran where a coffee pause is before we arrive in Fez.

Day 05: Fez guided sightseeing:
After breakfast in your Riad, our local guide will meet you at the reception to start exploring the oldest city in Morocco, walking in its alleys and small streets. You will visit the most historical monuments in the medina: The Royal Palace gate, the Jewish headquarter (the first Mellah ever built in Morocco). We will ensure that you visit all sites with cultural and historical interests including the famous Al Qaraouine University; the oldest in the region (if not in the universe), the Tanneries… After lunch, you will visit the tiles cooperative and then experience a wonderful panoramic view over the whole Medina of Fes. Back to the hotel.
